4year old boy kidnapped in Ogun State

Armed kidnappers, on the evening of Monday 2nd of November abducted a four-year old boy in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The victim, Steve Kanu, 4, is a nursery one pupil of Mercyland International Private Nursery and Primary School in Abeokuta.

Residents said the gunmen stormed the victim parents’ home at Laderin Estate and took him away, Premium Times reports...

One Miss Onyinyechi Okegbulam of Egbu in Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State has allegedly been killed by her boyfriend for refusing his marriage proposal. A source, who spoke on grounds of anonymity, said that the girl was shot in the head at close range by her supposed boyfriend in the village.

The Presidency has issued a warning to Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose over the allegations he made about the federal government, pertaining to the September federal allocation of N389 billion.

Reacting to Fayose, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, warned the governor to stop making unsubstantiated allegations pertaining to the running of the economy by the federal government.....

Jose Mourinho bags a one match stadium ban & £40,000 fine

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho will be made to serve a stadium ban for Saturday's Barclay's Premier League trip to Stoke City after admitting to a Football Association charge. He will also pay a £40,000 fine after his confession to the FA's charge of 'misconduct regarding his behavior towards match officials in or around the dressing room area during the half-time of his team's last month's defeat by West Ham.

This must be his hardest time!

Scott Disick gets another Visit from his kids at Rehab

Scott Disick received a second visit from this three children Yesterday, November 1 in a rehab centre in Malibu. He was pictured cuddling up to his son Mason while looking out on the balcony. More pics......

Lamar Odom, who was rushed to hospital after he was found unresponsive at the Love Ranch brothel in Reno, Vegas, after a four day drug binge last month, is reportedly doing well and expected to be released from the hospital soon.

Sources close to Lamar claim he will be released from Cedars-Sinai hospital in L.A. within the next ten days. It is not known whether he will be moved to a rehab facility or if he will continue treatment as an outpatient.

Source says Khloé is trying to talk Lamar into going to Rehab but the NBA star would give in to the talk.

Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan Visits President Buhari

Ex President Jonathan is currently in the Presidential Villa in Abuja, He is having a closed door meeting with President Buhari. Ex President Jonathan arrived the villa at exactly 2.00pm and went straight to the New Banquet Hall of the State House. This is the second time Jonathan will be visiting Buhari since he left office on May 29th. More pics....

Police arrest Man in Lagos For Wandering..Like Seriously?

Close friends of Lekan Abanikonda, says he was arrested and has been in police custody for 3 days. They claim his offence is wandering.

His employer said he was actually on his way back from Shomolu where he'd gone to print paper bags when he was stopped by police officers. He supposedly showed them his I.D card but was still taken to Alakara police station on Agege motor road where he was locked up. All efforts to have him released has so far proved abortive. I don't understand people are robbing in traffic they can't arrest them, It is someone walking on his on they can arrest...Smh!...Read on....

Osibanjo- S/East Roads require urgent attention

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, weekend, insisted that the worst problem plaguing people of the South-East geopolitical zone, was the failed road networks, saying the situation required urgent Federal Government attention. Prof. Osinbajo noted that despite government financial constraints at the moment, there was need to improve on the roads in the region where commerce was the mainstay of the people.

While pleading for staggered payment model, MTN has finally bowed to pressure as it has accepted to pay the N1.04 trillion fine slammed on it last week by the telecoms regulatory authority, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC)....continue...

President Buhari- I am still yet to assign portfolio to Ministers

The Federal Goverment has reacted to a list of ministerial nominees and their portfolios, allegedly assigned by President Muhammadu Buhari, which surfaced on the Internet, over the weekend.

Vangaurd News Reports that the Federal Government said portfolios have not been assigned to any minister. *Yimu! now singing who's fooling who?* Read on....

The Central Bank of Nigeria has announced the continuation of the Bank Verification Number (BVN) registration exercise despite the expiration of the deadline on Saturday, October, 31.

The spokesman of the CBN, Ibrahim Muazu speaking to newsmen yesterday November 1st, said although the exercise still continues, costumers who failed to register before the expiration date will not be able to access their accounts until they do their registration.

He said the registration exercise was generally satisfactory “Deadline was successful because the awareness has been created to millions of customers and the banking hall were empty unlike the June deadline where there were chaos everywhere in the banking halls”

Oil Mogul Kola Aluko Admits Paying UK Rent For Alison-Madueke’s Mother

Kola Aluko, a Nigerian oil magnate now wanted in the UK for money laundering, has admitted that he paid rent for a high-end apartment for the mother of a former minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke.

Mr. Aluko told the British Sunday Times newspaper that he was responsible for paying rent for Mrs. Beatrice Agama, the former minister’s mother. He also said

he ensured that food was brought to the minister’s mother at the St. John’s Wood property. Last month, a UK court approved the confiscation of funds belonging to Mrs. Agama.

Chairman of BCAN, Dr. Uju Ogubunka, told Vanguard yesterday that the association was meeting this week to, among other things, marshal out course of action to protect customers’ right to full and unrestricted access to their account, irrespective of their BVN status.

Several banks had sent out messages to their customers last week warning that access to their accounts would be barred unless they were BVN compliant by October 31. Read on....

The Sokoto state police command have been accused of torturing one Shehu Yahaya, to death following his comment on an illegal checkpoint erected by some of the state police officers along Isa-Sabon Birni road in Sokoto on Sunday October 25th.
Daily Trust reports that the 25 year old father of two was on an errand for his sister when he met with the police officers on the road and made a comment about checkpoints that have been banned by President Buhari and the illegality in the one erected by the officers. This angered the police officers who trailed the vehicle he was commuting with.
Narrating what happened, Bashar Nahantsi, a friend of the deceased,

said after the deceased made the comment that angered the police, they trailed the vehicle in which they were commuting in and ordered the driver to stop.
